We are looking for a technical writer to strengthen our consulting team in the area of technical documentation, maintenance, and operation manuals. In this role, you will work to gather, structure, and produce technical documentation for products and systems. You will work closely with system engineers, trainers, technicians, and other specialists to ensure that the documentation is accurate, clear, and useful for the end customer.

The assignment involves your participation in the entire documentation process – from information gathering to final documentation and delivery.

As a technical writer, you will be responsible for:

• Gathering technical information from system engineers, coordinators, and trainers

• Participating in customer meetings to ensure documentation requirements are met

• Participating in internal meetings for feedback and follow-up

• Writing and updating technical documentation in XML format

• Creating and updating:

  • Technical descriptions

  • Maintenance instructions

  • Troubleshooting instructions

  • User manuals

• Reviewing, translating, and proofreading documentation in Swedish and English

• Creating and updating technical illustrations

• Administering document revisions and updates

• Supporting the team by proofreading colleagues' documents

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant education in technical documentation, information design, engineering, or similar or

• Equivalent work experience, such as a maintenance technician or technician

• Experience in technical work in areas such as automation, railways, aviation, or similar technical fields

• Experience as a technical writer, information designer, or technical communicator

• Excellent command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

It is desirable if you have:

• Practical experience in maintenance and troubleshooting

• Experience working with railway vehicles

• Knowledge of Arbortext XML

• Experience with content management systems (CMS)

• Experience in scripting

• Understanding of how documentation is used in practice by operations and maintenance personnel

• Experience adapting documentation to real operational and maintenance processes

• Experience with customer requirements, validation, and acceptance criteria

• Experience participating in testing, commissioning, and final delivery of documentation
